The difference between the engines is notable because of the differing sizes, of course, but also because of fuel economy. If you want a little more power, the CX-5 has it for you. If, however, you want more efficiency, the CX-3 has that. Both crossovers average more than 30 highway MPG, but the CX-3 boasts an impressive 34 compared to the CX-5's 31 highway MPG. Whichever choice you make, though, we don't think you will be disappointed. Both the CX-5 and the CX-3 offer loads of technological and infotainment features. It's all just a matter of how much room you want and how much you value your engine's performance.
