5 Tips for Inflating Your Mazda's tires
We've all had our tire pressure light come on at one time or another. It's a little annoying light with an exclamation point but it's easy to get rid of. Routinely check your tire pressure
Before we get to tips for actually inflating your tires, let's go over a quick reminder. It's important to check your Mazda's tire pressure at least once a month. Ideally, you would check once a week, but if you can do it just one time per month, you should be in good shape. Check your owner's manual for a recommended tire pressure reading and adjust your tires accordingly. Try to wait at least four hours after driving to check your tire pressure to get an optimal rating.
Fill tires in accordance with your manual
Most Mazda models need a tire pressure rating somewhere between 31 and 35 PSI. If not in your manual, the inside of your driver's side door should have tire pressure recommendations as well. Take your car to the nearest gas station that has an air compressor. Most compressors give you the ability to set your desired pressure rating. If that is the case, set your rating and apply the hose to your uncapped tire's valve. The machine should notify you when the tire is filled with the desired amount. This whole process won't take you longer than ten minutes.
Temperature matters
Outside temperatures play a big factor in your tire pressure. We suggest that you check your tires when it's cold out to get the most accurate reading. The higher the temperature the higher the PSI reading. For that reason, it's important to check your tire pressure even more frequently during the fall and winter months.
