How do I set up the Wi-Fi in the Mazda infotainment system

 

Using hotspot in your Mazda

 

Most newer Mazda models now have the capability to connect to a hotspot. Once connected, drivers can access a suite of driving features to give them real-time updates on potential hazards that could affect your route. How to turn on the Mazda Wi-Fi

 

First you will need to select the “Settings” menu in the head unit of the Infotainment system. Then select the “Devices” tab then the “Network Management” icon. From there you can turn on the Wi-Fit.

 

Connecting to the vehicle’s Wi-Fi

 

Once the Wi-Fi is turned on, it should list available networks. From this list you can see the network name, security type and signal strength. From this menu, you are able to select the network you would like to join. Once selected, you will need to enter the password. Keep in mind, the passwords are case sensitive. After you have inputted the password, select “Connect to .” Once you are connected, there will be the Wi-Fi signal bars shown at the top right corner of the screen.

 

What you can use once you are connect

 

There are a variety of features you can access once you have your Mazda vehicle set up. Local search allows you to select and search for points of interest from an online database. The Online Traffic feature gives you real time traffic updates about the flow and what could affect your route. Other updates you have access to is Online Weather. With this feature, you will have real-time information about how the weather could affect your route.
