2018 Mazda6 exterior features

2018 Mazda6

The long-awaited 2018 Mazda6 is finally here. Mazda unveiled this beautiful car back in December and it is now at lots all around the country. Slowly but surely, we have learned more about its details. We know it comes with a turbocharged engine option and that it is priced almost identically to last year's. The Mazda6 has also received updates to its exterior design. Let's go over that in this blog.

Grid grille

The most noticeable change to the Mazda6's exterior is its grille. In past years, the car has sported a chrome grille with horizontal plates. This year's model features a silver grid-style grille which certainly makes it look more modern and advanced. Chrome grilles are cool, don’t get us wrong. But they have become somewhat outdated. This simple change thrusts the Mazda6 into a new generation.

High beam control

Your high beam headlights are wildly helpful on a desolate road at night. They can also be dangerous if you forget to turn them off when you encounter an oncoming car. Available high beam control automatically turns your brights off when the system detects an oncoming motorist. This way, you can enjoy maximum visibility without blinding other drivers. Also available is adaptive front lighting. This system allows your headlights to pivot when you go around turns so you won't have any surprises in the dark.

Contours

Every sporty car comes with its own set contours and body configurations. The Mazda6 is no different. Unique and new contours on the car's hood give it a brand new look and optimize aerodynamics. Sleek lines on the sides and rear of the Mazda6 also contribute to its fresh sporty look.

Like we said, the 2018 Mazda6 is here at Puente Hills Mazda. Come check it out for yourself!
