The car also comes with either a six-speed automatic and auto-manual transmission, or a six-speed all manual transmission. It should be noted that the automatic transmission results in a slightly-better fuel economy of 35 MPG on the highway. The 2017 MX-5 Miata also gets 148 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,600 RPM. The standard drivetrain on all trim levels is rear-wheel drive.
