Mazda Expands Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Vehicles

There’s a lot of different features for cars out there. Every car is packed to the brim with all sorts of options. It can be hard to decide between all of them, but there's some that stand out more than others.

One of the best features any car can have is how it pairs up with your phone. Just about everyone has a smartphone with them these days and those phones are often portable entertainment centers for us. When you’re on the road you want to be able to enjoy your phone without having to hold it in your hands the entire time. It’s a good thing car companies have thought of some ways to help bring car and phone together.

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

The two big phone companies out there, Apple and Android, have their own ways to connect with different cars if they are compatible. With Apple CarPlay you can sync up your iPhone up to your car and get a ton of different benefits. Text messages, phone calls, directions, and much more are made available through your car’s infotainment center.

If you have an Android phone then you have some similar options with a bit of different flavor. Android Auto comes with Google Assistant. It's an app that can help provide directions through Google Maps or the Waze app. You can also make calls or send texts through Google Assistant. All you need to do to start is say the simple phrase “OK Google” and the assistant lights up without having to take your hands off the wheel or eyes off the road.
